The customer who commissioned this desk wanted something unique. Asymmetry, timber with a distinctive grain, exposed waney edges and inclusion of another material were all high on their wish list.

The shape of the blue tinted glass that flows through the top was determined by the natural shape of the yew. The right hand leg and top are mitred from the same plank, giving the impression it has been folded over.
